Types of Banners (Annual)

Annual advertisement is licensed for one calendar year and renewable according to the general conditions, special requirements and procedures specified for each advert by law. The below table explains all details about annual advertisements.

Type of banner Description Location Size
Information and guidance boards This is a small billboard that shows the trade name and activity or discusses the nature of the activity. Metal banners are often used to identify the entrance of the building, users and activities. Must be installed at a distance of not less than 10 meters from the edge of the road and at a height not exceeding 6 meters from the ground. Not exceeding 0.6 square meters.
In the case of restaurant menu, it will restrict the  information and guidance board to not exceed 1.5 square meters.
Over umbrellas banners Banners that are fixed above the door or umbrella Over the building umbrellas. Must not exceed 1.5 meters high or top of the roof of the shop.
Umbrella fronts banners These banners are fixed, painted, or colored on the front of an umbrella. It shall be fixed on the front of the umbrella at a height not less than 2.4 meters. Its height must not exceed 1.5 meters, and it must not exceed the boundaries of umbrellas.
Folded umbrellas banners They are banners that are installed or fixed (painted or colored) on folded umbrellas that may be made of solid or flexible materials. Usually used in commercial and industrial areas. On the front of folded umbrellas. A minimum distance of 2.4 meters should be left between the movable umbrellas and the pavement, and 2.1 meters from the ground.
Entrance banners Banners that are drawn or fixed in the door area so that its upper edge is parallel to the surface or the front of the building.  They are drawn or fixed in the door area. Its width should not be more than that of the gate below, and its thickness must be no more than 0.3 meters.
Interceptive banners Vertical banners fixed on the front of the buildings. They are usually two- dimensional and are internally illuminated. Their purpose is to introduce the specialties or activities of establishments or shops like pharmacies, clinics, etc. It shall be fixed vertically in the front of the building in a way that 2.4 meters is left between the lower part of the banner and the ground. The extent of the banner must not exceed 0.75 meters including the structural parts, and the length must not exceed 7.5 meters. 
The area of the structural parts should not exceed 2 square meters.
 
Under umbrellas banners These banners are placed under covered corridors and are usually fixed or hung from the ceiling. They are placed vertical to the fronts of the umbrellas. Vertically fixed or hung from the ceilings in the fronts of shops.
A distance of 2.4 meters should be left between the lower part of the banner and the ground. There should be at least 1 meter from the edge of the banner to the edge of the road.
Its dimensions should not exceed 2.5 meters long 0.5 meters high and 0.3 meters breadth.
The length of the banner should not exceed 75 per cent of the width of the corridor under which it is installed and shall not extend beyond its boundaries.
3D stereophonic banners 3D banners or figures with an advertising nature intended to provide information about a product. They are placed on the roofs of buildings. These banners should be placed on the roofs of single-storey buildings  Its height must not exceed the start of the first floor.
Changeable information banners Fixed banners with the possibility of changing their advertising content.  No more than one banner for a single street front is allowed. The banner usually has two-dimensional, with a size of no more than 2.4 square meters per side.
Ground banners Banners that are fixed or placed on the ground. Their width is usually greater than that of their height and found in developed areas. If the banner's area is calculated, the architectural and cosmetic parts that are below and adjacent to it will be added. It shall be installed in front of the buildings so that a distance of 1 meter is left between the banner and the edge of the road. In case a neighboring property exists, a of no less than 3 meters must be left between the two properties. The height of the banner must not exceed 1.8 meters and an area of 12 square meters for each side.
Poles banners Self-made banners that are fixed on one or more poles and are usually have two sides. They are fixed in front of shops so that a distance of no less than 1 meter is left between the banner and the edge of the road. The advertisement should not exceed 3 square meters each. 
Vertical banners The width of these banners are usually less than that of their height and they are fixed on the ground or on one or more poles. They are fixed in front of the buildings within the ownership boundaries. A distance of no less than 1 meter must be left between the banner and the road edge. The maximum distance of the banner should be 20 square meters on each side, it should not exceed two banners for properties whose façade is less than 100 meters. The banner area should not exceed 36 square meters for each facade, not exceeding two façades for the properties whose façade is less than 100m on the public road.
Street board  They are display or advertisement interfaces whose width is usually larger than their height. They are stand-alone banners fixed on one or more poles. They must be placed in places specified by the authorities. No more than two facades for a single banner with a maximum area of 12 square meters for each facade in developed areas, and 20 square meters for each facade in undeveloped areas.
Large street boards They are large display or advertisement banners whose width is always larger than their height. They shall be fixed on one or more poles and shall be placed in the places specified by the authorities They are fixed on buildings or poles. They need to match the aesthetic of the street and not extend to private properties. There should be at least 3 meters space from the borders of the properties. No more than two facades for a banner with a maximum area of 45 square meters each.
Electronic display banners Banners in the form of large display screens on which electronic materials are placed. They are installed in areas specified by the authorities. They are fixed on buildings or poles and need to match the aesthetic of the street and not extend to private properties. There should be at least 3 meters space from the borders of the properties. No more than two facades for a banner with a maximum area of 20 square meters  each.
Road banners with bases They are banners that are permanently installed on the public road sides. Temporary and interchangeable advertising materials are placed on them They can also be illuminated. The banners must be installed in places not less than 20 meters from any intersection. They must not be installed on road edges and should be consistent with the street aesthetic. Each banner should have two facades provided each does not exceed 2 square meters.
Construction banners for transportation Commercial advertising banners that are placed on the roads next to the limits of their ownership. Fixed on the facility upon request. The banner should not exceed the limits of the facility on which it is fixed.
Outdoor guiding banners  They are advertising banners whose purpose is guidance, pointing to a specific position different from its location. It must not allowed to place the banner inside the area of the triangle of sight near the intersections in order not to obstruct the vision and flow of vehicles. The banner size shall not exceed 4 square meters placed a distance away from the edge of the road. It should be no less than 2 square meters in undeveloped areas and 0.6 meters in other areas. It should  not exceed 2 square meters.
Information banners They are banners that display information for service purposes (entrances and exits, restaurants' menus) and directions Specified upon request. The banner size should not exceed 2 square meters. The area allocated for the name and logo should not exceed one third of the total area of the banner.
Construction sites banners Banners that are placed by the construction companies when a property is under construction. It contains all company details and contributors. They are fixed in a way that keeps a distance of no less than 2 meters from the pavement edge. The height should not exceed 3.5 meters, width should not be less than 1.2 meters and no more than 2.4 meters. Content shall not exceed 25 per cent of the banner size.
Their height must not exceed 2.4 meters and not less than 1.5 meters. Their width should not be less than 1.5 meters and not more than 2 meters. The total area does not exceed 5% of the wall area for the banners fixed on the walls of small projects and popular housing.
As for major projects, the size must not exceed 20 m² with dimensions of 5X4 m.
Construction structures banners They are advertisements that have writings and drawings done on construction equipment like concrete blenders and others. They are placed in specific areas. The advertisement should not exceed the limits of the structure on which it is displayed in undeveloped areas industrial zones. The advertisement should not exceed 20 meters in other areas.
