Types of Banners (Temp)

Temporary advertisements are issued for a maximum period of up to three months and are renewable for a similar duration according to stipulations, general conditions, special requirements and procedures of the law. The below table includes all details related to temporary advertisements.

Commercial flags It is a piece of cloth or a non-solid material attached to poles, which aims to announce or define a certain institution or activity. The advertisement area must not exceed 2.4 meters.
Electrical beautification  A series of small lamps that advertise a ceremony or promote a particular event. These are predominantly in relation to shopping and commercial activities. Must not exceed 90 days a year. Not specified. Not specified.
Promotion banners Temporary flags or banners made out of cloth, paper or non-solid material placed to promote a business, sale and promotions Must not exceed 7 consecutive days (excluding Friday and Saturday) and  a maximum of 14 days a year. They are placed on the front of the building on the highway. The area must not exceed 4 square meters for every 20 meters or less on the front of the building on the highway.
Road banners

Temporary flags or banners made out of cloth, paper, or non-solid material placed to promote a business, sales and promotions ….. etc 

Flexible banners made of cloth or any other material that are installed on poles or street pillars in specific areas of the city. They are intended to advertise a public ceremony or occasion and are not allowed to be used for commercial purposes.

The advertiser must leave a distance not less than 3 meters from the bottom of the banner to the surface of the ground. The width and the length of the banner must not exceed 1.5 meters by 5 meters respectively.
The logo or name of the event organizer should not exceed 20 per cent of the space of the banner.
Vertical banners These are advertisement banners made out of cloth or any flexible material placed vertically on the front of buildings  Valid for three months and renewable for a similar duration. The authorized people must take upon themselves to change or repair damaged banners whenever necessary. They are installed on the front the buildings.
There should be a distance of not less than 2.4 meters between the bottom of the banner and the ground.
The size of the banner should not exceed 2.4 square meters for every 20 meters on the front of the building on the highway. It can be divided into more than one banner. The width of the banner should not exceed 0.75 meters.
Offers and competition banners  Well-fixed banners or displaying platforms intended to promote awards and competitions. Valid for three months and renewable for a similar period. As stipulated in the law   The display area should not exceed 10 square meters for every 100 meters on the front of the building.
New suburban banners They are banners placed in new areas to advertise the sale of residential properties.  Valid for three months and can be renewed.  According to special conditions specified by the law. The size of the banner should not exceed 6 square meters 
Gas-filled structures advertisements Structures packed with air or helium such as balloons and bouncing castles or other inflatable structures Three months renewable for a similar period. Existing properties banners They are temporary unlit banners used for advertisements for the sale and rental of property. Writing on shop windows It is an advertisement on the glass display window. It is valid for three months and renewable for a similar period. Must not exceed 25 per cent of the area of the glass display panel in the case of annual window banners.
It must not exceed 50 per cent of the total window area in the case of temporary window banners.
 
Movable signage A frame in the form of the letter A or an inverted T usually supports the movable or detachable advertisements. Some adverts typically displayed on the pavement, also known as a split board are installed on wheels. The wheel or pavement banners are always placed on corridors and pavements. Three renewable months.  The banner shall be placed within the boundaries of the property and not on corridors, pavements and public roads. It must be placed at a distance not less than 3 meters from the entrance of the site or the property, and at least 5 meters from any intersection and 1.5 meters from any building or property line. For a building whose front side measures less than 50 meters, the maximum area allowed for the banner is 1.2 square meters on each side. A maximum of two sides are permitted for the banner.
For a building whose front side measures more than 50 meters, the banner dimensions are 2.4 meters on each side. Banners can only be placed on two sides.
